Guest User

When you open the ISOcat Web Interface for the first time, you do so in the role of a Guest User. You have access to a temporary buffer called "My Workspace", where you can:

• View the data categories (DC) that have been released to "Public" space
• Pick out individual data category specifications to examine
• Save them in a personal "basket" as a personal Data Category Selection (DCS)
• Export them in the Data Category Interchange Format (DCIF) or in an RDF file to use in their own environments

Guest users must register as ISOcat Expert Users in order to:

• Create new DCs
• Save a DCS to a permanent Private workspace inside ISOcat
• Edit "owned" DCs and DCSs

Note: Previous Syntax users do not have to re-register to use ISOcat. You should log in using your old Syntax ID and password in order to have access to your existing DCs and DCSs.
