Expert User
individual with special knowledge, skill, or other interest who registers to participate in the work of the DCR
NOTE Anyone wishing to work in the ISOcat environment can self-declare him/herself as an expert. Experts can work independently or in private groups. If you wish to participate in the work of a Thematic Domain Group (TDG) working in the standards environment, contact the TDG chair of the TDG closest to your interests. See the relevant TDG description for this information.
In addition to the features available to guests, ISOcat experts can:
Once you have registered as an expert user, you will receive notification of your password. (In the future you will be able to change this to a more meaningful password.) You need to log in using your ID and password in order to exercise your roles as an expert user. Note: Previous Syntax users who have Syntax IDs and login passwords should continue to use them to log in to ISOcat.
- Create their own data category specifications
- Edit DC specifications they own
- Save their DCSs to their own private workspaces
- Share entries with colleagues
- Create and participate in working groups
- Be assigned by ISOcat TDG chairs or ISO TC 37 Participating members to participate in the formal data category standardization process
